2. Scope of this Policy

This Policy covers the Profilr mobile application on Android and iOS and related services and features accessible through the App (the “Service”). It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or apps linked from the App.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account Information

Email, password (if registered with email), nickname/display name, auth identifiers from Google/Apple, and preferred language. We do not receive your Google/Apple password.

3.2 Personality Test Data

Your answers to test questions and the resulting personality profile (e.g., MBTI-type). Used to generate and present your results and improve features. We do not collect free-form notes/journals.

3.3 Device and App Information

Device model, OS version, app version, and basic usage (screens/features used), collected automatically via analytics/crash tools. We do not collect precise GPS location.

4. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and operate the Service, including account management and personality profiles.
• Improve and develop the App (usage insights, bug/crash fixes, UX enhancements).
• Maintain security (authentication, preventing misuse).
• Communicate with you about support or important changes. No marketing emails/newsletters currently.

5. Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Firestore Database. They may collect device model, OS, usage info, and crash data to analyze patterns, identify issues, and improve features. Data is used in aggregated/pseudonymous form; we don’t combine it to identify you beyond what’s necessary to operate and secure the Service.

6. Advertising and Marketing

The App is free and currently ad-free. No AdMob or similar. We do not sell or rent your data. If ads/marketing are added later, we will update this Policy and obtain consent where required.

7. Sharing Content and External Links

You may share a Linktree link or QR code. Shared content is handled by the apps/platforms you choose, under their policies. External links in the App are governed by third-party site policies.

8. Legal Basis (where applicable)

Performance of a contract: Providing the App and its features.
Legitimate interests: Maintain/improve the App and security, subject to your rights.
Consent: For activities requiring it (e.g., certain analytics or future marketing). You may withdraw consent by contacting us.

9. Data Storage, Location, and Retention

Storage: Firebase Firestore and related Google Cloud services; server locations may vary.
Retention: Data kept while your account is active. On account deletion request, data is deleted/anonymized within a reasonable time, subject to legal obligations.

10. Who Can Access Your Data

Access is limited to the App administrator (Jamil Orujlu) for legitimate support, maintenance, and security. No sharing with partners/advertisers; no data selling. Future B2B features would be covered by updated terms/policy.

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is not targeted at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or as defined by local law) without proper parental consent. If such data is discovered, it is deleted. Contact app.profilr@gmail.com if you believe a child provided data.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your location/law, rights may include access, rectification, deletion, restriction/objection, and portability. You can delete your account in-app (where available) or by contacting app.profilr@gmail.com to request access/correction/deletion. Updating login email may require assistance. Identity verification may be requested.

13. Data Security

Measures include Firebase Authentication, Firebase Security Rules, encryption in transit/at rest (per Firebase/Google Cloud), and restricted admin access. No method is 100% secure.

14. International Data Transfers

Using Firebase means data may be processed in other countries with differing laws. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy (e.g., for new features, practice changes, legal changes). We will update the “Last updated” date and may notify you via the App or other reasonable means. Continued use means you accept the updated Policy.
